Seth Stowaway Co-Founder

Chef and owner of Osito, San Francisco's first 100% live-fire tasting menu restaurant and holder of a Michelin star. Seth built The Same Sun out of the operational reality of running a restaurant — the systems gaps, the administrative overhead, the things that take operators away from the work they're actually good at. He brings firsthand knowledge of what the hospitality industry needs, and why most existing tools fall short.

Designer and creative director with 25+ years building products, brands, and teams across technology, including work with Solv Health, Evidation, Whil, and Klout. Ben brings a rare combination of design craft and business fluency to the table: the kind that closes the gap between a great idea and something people actually want to use. At The Same Sun, he advises on product design and the work of turning complex operational problems into interfaces that feel simple.

Ailén Serrano Advisor

Operations and marketing professional working across the full launch of The Same Sun. Ailén leads digital marketing, social media, and lead generation, while supporting operations and business development as the company builds toward its first clients. She works closely with the founding team to translate strategy into execution and adapt the approach as the business evolves. The connective tissue between what we're building and how it reaches the world.

Cole Jeanes Co-Founder

Memphis-based chef, restaurateur, and creative operator behind Kinfolk, Hard Times Deli, Gussied Up, Chicken Fried Palace, and Etowah Collective. Cole has spent his career blending Southern foodways with modern technique, thoughtful branding, and community-driven hospitality. His experience spans restaurants, events, culinary media, and hospitality technology, and it's that full-stack perspective he brings to The Same Sun. He co-founded the company from a belief that great hospitality deserves operational infrastructure as considered as the experience itself.

Kanav Hasija Advisor

Entrepreneur, technologist, and investor. Kanav is the co-founder and CEO of MeltPlan and co-founder of Innovaccer, a healthtech unicorn that became one of the most significant enterprise platforms in digital health. His career is built on a specific thesis: that industries slow to adopt technology are exactly where the most meaningful infrastructure can be built. He brings that lens, and the experience of scaling complex platforms with AI at the core, to The Same Sun.
